Atlas reads job postings, writes a résumé for the ones worth your time, and keeps track of what you applied to. To do that it needs to know some things about you. This page says exactly what, and what happens to it.

Short version: your information is used to run Atlas for you, and for nothing else. We do not sell it, we do not advertise against it, and we do not train models on it.

What we collect

Your account. Your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, that is all we receive from Google at sign in. We never see your Google password.

Your profile. Everything you type in: jobs you have had, projects, skills, education, what you are looking for, and the answers to the screening questions applications keep asking. You wrote it, so you can change or delete any of it whenever you like.

Your applications. Which jobs Atlas found for you, which ones it wrote a résumé for, the résumés themselves, and where each application has got to.

Your email, only if you connect it. Connecting Gmail is optional and Atlas works without it. If you do connect it, Atlas reads messages to work out which ones are replies about jobs you applied to, so it can move your tracker without you typing anything. It looks at those messages to classify them and to pull out dates and deadlines. Everything else in your inbox is ignored.

Google user data

Atlas’s use of information received from Google APIs follows Google’s API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In plain terms, we use your Google data only to provide and improve the features you asked for, we do not transfer it to anyone except as needed to run those features or where the law requires it, we do not use it for advertising, and no human at Atlas reads it except where you have asked us to, where it is needed for security, or where the law requires it. It is never used to train generalised models.

You can disconnect Gmail at any time from your settings, or revoke it yourself at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Atlas keeps working without it. You just go back to moving your own rows.

Who else touches it

Where it lives. Supabase hosts the database and file storage. Your rows are separated from every other user’s at the database level, not by our code remembering to filter.

Writing the résumés. To write a résumé for a posting, the posting text and the parts of your profile that might answer it are sent to a language model run by Anthropic or Google. They do not use it to train their models. We never send your email contents to write a résumé.

Payments. Handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your card number.

That is the whole list. Nobody else gets it, and we do not sell it.

How long we keep it

As long as you have an account. Delete your account and we delete your profile, your applications, your résumés and anything we cached from your email. Backups roll off within thirty days. If you only want to disconnect Gmail, do that on its own and keep everything else.

Deleting everything

There is a delete button in your settings. It does what it says: your data is gone, not hidden. If you would rather ask a person, write to syhussain0@gmail.com and we will do it and confirm when it is done.

Security

Traffic is encrypted. Anything Atlas holds on your behalf that acts like a credential is encrypted before it is stored. Access to production is limited to people who need it to keep the service running. No service can promise perfection, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something, but if something goes wrong that affects you we will tell you rather than wait to be asked.

Children

Atlas is not for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, we will email you before it takes effect. The date at the top always tells you which version you are reading.

Asking us anything

syhussain0@gmail.com. A person reads it. If you are in the UK, the EU, or a place with similar rules, you can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will.
