Terms

These are the rules for using Atlas. We have tried to write them the way we would explain them out loud. Using Atlas means you agree to them.

What Atlas does

Atlas watches employers for jobs that match what you are looking for, writes a résumé for each one from the history you gave it, and keeps a record of what you applied to. If you connect your email, it reads the replies and moves your tracker for you.

Atlas prepares applications. It does not send them. You decide what goes out and you press the button.

Your account

One account, one person. Keep your sign in to yourself. Tell us if you think somebody else is in your account. You need to be 16 or older.

What it costs

Twenty dollars a week or fifty dollars a month. Same product either way. It renews until you cancel, and you can cancel any time from your settings.

When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, and then it stops. We do not pro rate a partial week or month. If Atlas was broken for you and you paid for it, write to us and we will sort it out. If we ever raise the price, we will tell you first and it will not apply to a period you have already paid for.

What you write is yours

Your profile, your résumés and your application history belong to you. You can download or delete them whenever you want. We only use them to run Atlas for you.

You are responsible for what you send to an employer. Atlas builds résumés only from what you gave it and refuses to state anything it cannot trace back to your own profile, but read the thing before you send it. It is going out with your name on it.

Things you agree not to do

Atlas is for running your own job search. It is not a data source, and the parts of it that cost money to run are the parts people try to take. So, plainly:

• Do not scrape, copy or resell the job listings, the postings, or anything else Atlas collects.
• Do not use Atlas, or any account on it, to feed another product, service, dataset or model you are building.
• Do not automate against Atlas, script it, or try to get at it other than through the site as it is meant to be used.
• Do not share an account, resell access, or run a service for other people on top of it.
• Do not use it to apply on somebody else’s behalf without them knowing, and do not use it to send anything false to an employer.
• Do not try to break it, get into other people’s data, or get around limits and quotas.

If you break these we can suspend or close the account, and for the serious ones we will do it without warning. You keep the right to your own data either way.

What we do not promise

We do not promise you a job, an interview, or a reply. Nobody can. What we promise is that Atlas does the searching and the writing so you spend your time on the deciding.

We also do not promise the service is never down or never wrong. Job postings come from employers and are sometimes stale, incomplete or already filled. A résumé written by software is a draft you read before you send.

If something goes wrong

Atlas is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost opportunities, lost earnings, or anything you did or did not get because of the service, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the problem. Some places do not allow that kind of limit, and where that is true it does not apply to you.

Ending it

You can close your account whenever you like. We can close yours if you break these terms or if we stop running Atlas, and if we stop running it we will give you notice and a way to take your data with you.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email you before it takes effect. Carrying on using Atlas after that means you are fine with the new version. If you are not, cancel and we will refund the unused part of the period you paid for.
